The cut off & chamfer process is used when a generous lead thread is required on a fastener. This point is used to facilitate entry of fasteners into holesand protects the lead thread from damage during handling. The process begins by cutting down a longer fastener to a specified length and then chamfering or breaking sharp edges to create a custom fastener. Angular specifications are available or a form can be machined on either end of any metric or standard fastener. Threaded rod or bar stock can also be cut off & chamfered. Minimum order 500 pieces.
